The film became an instant buzz thanks to its iconic voice cast – Kristen Bell as Anna, Idina Menzel as Elsa, Jonathan Groff as Kristoff and Josh Gad as Olaf the Snowman. It grossed US$1.28 billion worldwide at the time, making it the fifth-highest-grossing film of all time. It ranks 22nd among other highest-grossing films of all time.
Its outstanding soundtrack includes tracks such as Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez’s Do You Want to Build a Snowman? and the Academy Award-winning Let It Go, which as of June 2016 had sold over 4.1 million copies and been streamed over 51 million times.
Released in 2019, Frozen 2 earned USD 1.45 billion at the worldwide box office, surpassing its predecessor and becoming the fourteenth highest-grossing film in history. It introduced new magical elements, locations, and characters to the fascinating fantasy world of Arendelle.
With nostalgia galore, this animation series has become a pop cultural phenomenon, Frozen 3, is set to hit theaters in 2027.
