Suriya and Dhanush are two of the most prominent Tamil actors in the industry. Fans have been eagerly waiting for years to see them share screen space in at least one film. Well, it looks like their wish may finally be fulfilled as rumors suggest that the two may work together in a multi-starrer film.
According to 123 Telugu, an exciting project featuring Suriya and Dhanush is currently in the works. Venky Atluri, who recently gave a hit with Dulquer Salmaan starrer Lucky Baskar, will reportedly direct this multi-starrer.
The project has been tentatively titled Honest Raj, in which Dhanush will play the lead role. However, details about Suriya’s character have been kept under wraps. If the reports are accurate, Suriya may either play an extended cameo or play the lead role. These reports have not been confirmed yet and an official announcement is awaited.
Moving on, Dhanush recently grabbed everyone’s attention with a brand new look in the poster of his upcoming film Idli Kadhai. He will share the screen with Nithya Menen in the film. The project is his fourth directorial venture after Pa Pandi, Raayan and NEEK.
Apart from Dhanush and Nitya, the film also stars Shalini Pandey, Prakash Raj, Arun Vijay and others in lead roles. Meanwhile, the release of NEEK, titled Nilavukku En Male Ennadi Kobham, has been postponed. It was initially scheduled for release on February 7, 2025. However, to avoid a box office clash with Vidamuyarchi, the release date of NEEK has been pushed forward.
On the other hand, Suriya is all set for Karthik Subbaraj’s Retro, starring Pooja Hegde in the lead role. Apart from Suriya and Pooja, the film will also star Joju George, Jayaram, Nassar, Sujeeth Shankar and many others in important roles.
Before this, she was seen in Kanguva, which starred Bobby Deol, Disha Patani and many others. The film made a lot of headlines before its release but did not meet expectations at the box office.
