The event was attended by Brendan McClements, Chief Executive, Visit Victoria and Shay Keenan, Chief Marketing Officer, Visit Victoria. Top tennis player Rohan Bopanna was also present; Sanjana Ganesan, leading cricket host and presenter; and Haley Raichura, renowned Melbourne-based chef and owner of Enter Via Laundry.
The event culminated in a fiery conversation with Sanjana, who has been visiting Melbourne for the Australian Open for a record 20 years, and recalled some of her favorite cricket moments at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground.
A fireside chat followed over lunch hosted by Chef Haley Raichura, which featured an innovative menu celebrating the blend of Victorian and Indian influences. Each course was inspired by one of Melbourne’s three iconic events – the Australian Open, Melbourne Food & Wine Festival and the Boxing Day Taste.
