Director Shankar shares update on Indian 3: Will complete the film in 6 months
After the mixed reception of Indian 2 and Game Changer, director Shankar has focused on completing Indian 3, he has confirmed that work will begin soon, and the film will be released in theatres.

Director Shankar gave clarity about his next major project, Indian 3. In an interview, he revealed that work on Indian 3 is set to begin soon, with the film expected to be completed in just six months.

Shankar recently faced failures with both Indian 2 and Game Changer. Even though Indian 2 had a disappointing box office performance, the end-credit teaser of Indian 3 has created a lot of buzz.
Recently in another interview he talked about the failure of Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2. Talking to Tamil magazine Vikatan, he said that he did not expect the negative reviews he got for Indian 2.
Director Shankar said, “I tried to express a good idea. This way, I am happy. ‘If the house is clean, the country will be clean’ is a wonderful and necessary thought. However the question of how this can be implemented practically is still important.
Meanwhile, Lyca Productions had reportedly attempted to stall the release of their recent film Game Changer in Tamil Nadu citing the incomplete status of Indian 3. The production of Indian 2 also faced delays due to creative differences, but after the intervention of Red Giant Films, the film was back on track.

The much-awaited sequel to the 1996 classic Indian will see Kamal Haasan reprising his role alongside Sidharth, Rakul Preet Singh and SJ Surya. The story of Indian 3 will be based on the origin of Senapati’s father Veerasekaran Balram, both the characters are played by Kamal Haasan.
