Director Lokesh Kangraj confirms standalone film on Suriya’s character Rolex
Tamil director Lokesh Kanagaraj interacted with aspiring filmmakers in Chennai to discuss his cinematic universe and future film projects. He confirmed a standalone film for Suriya’s character Rolex.

Tamil director Lokesh Kanagaraj recently held a Q&A session with aspiring filmmakers at the Koogai Library in Chennai. Speaking at the packed gathering, the Leo director shared insights about his craft and answered around 40-50 questions, offering updates on his films and his vision for the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU), which includes Kamal Haasan, Stars like Surya, Karthi are included. He plans to focus on politics with his party Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), making a sequel unlikely.
Kanagaraj shared his long-term vision for the LCU, saying that it will take approximately five more years to fully develop the universe, ensuring that it reaches a proper conclusion.
Apart from discussing his films, Kanagaraj also gave practical advice to aspiring filmmakers. He stressed the importance of patience, learning from failures and staying true to your vision.
