Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have spent the entire summer apart and didn’t even get together for the recent Independence Day holiday.
According to a People source, the Atlas star, 54, additionally looked “happy and peaceful” during her week in the Hamptons, which continued through the Fourth of July weekend while Ben remained in Los Angeles. The source added that the singer did not look “upset at all” amid divorce rumors between the singer and Affleck, 51.

The Hollywood hot couple, who attended Michael Rubin’s annual star-studded White Party together last year, notably skipped the party this year. The pair have spent their summer holidays largely separately amid reports of facing some difficulties in their marriage.
Affleck’s latest project, The Accountant 2, a sequel to his hit 2016 film, recently wrapped filming on the West Coast, but the actor decided to continue living in L.A. He was spotted heading to his office on Wednesday, July 3, according to People.
Meanwhile, Lopez has engaged in a number of activities since returning to the US from her European vacation, including shopping for plants with her manager, having lunch at St. Ambrose in East Hampton, and going on a bicycle ride with her longtime friend and vocal coach Stevie Mackie in New York.
It’s also worth noting that the Love Don’t Cost a Thing singer has been primarily staying in the Big Apple since reports of a rift in her relationship with the Gone Girl star surfaced in May. At the time, it was reported that Lopez was spending time in NYC because she had to prepare for the Met Gala, as she co-chaired this year’s event.
However, Lopez did not return to Los Angeles to visit her husband. Instead, she got busy promoting her Netflix film Atlas.
Keeping a considerable distance from each other, Lopez and Affleck have not yet taken off their wedding rings. They wear their wedding rings whenever they meet for the sake of their children and family.
For the record, the This Is Me…Now singer has 16-year-old twins Emme and Max with ex-husband Marc Anthony, and Affleck is the proud father of three kids with ex-wife Jennifer Garner: Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12.
According to multiple media reports, they recently moved all of their belongings out of their Beverly Hills home. According to media reports, they continue to live in a rented home in Brentwood. “They’ve been living there for about two months. They seem fine. They’re going to work every day and focusing on work. They’re also spending time with their child,” a source told People in June.

In February, Lopez opened up about her romance with her husband on Australia’s Kyle and Jackie O radio show, telling the host that their marriage wasn’t something she or Affleck had planned. So, when it happened, neither she nor Affleck could believe it. “We had really moved on in our lives, but when we reconnected, it happened almost immediately, and we just knew,” she said.
