Didi’s sex trafficking trial in the jury will be finalized on Friday, the test starts on Monday

The jury is expected to be finalized on Friday after a brief delay in the high-profile sex trafficking trial of the music Mogul scene “Didi” Combes. Originally scheduled to end by Wednesday, both the legal teams extended the process after requesting more time to decide which potential gamblers had to strike from the list of 45 finalists.
Personal interviews are going on
In the last three days, Judge Arun Subramanian has conducted individual interviews with potential gamblers in Manhattan’s federal court. Its purpose is to assess the capacity of each candidate that the ability to remain fair during which is expected to be an acute and emotional test. The 55 -year -old Combes are present, sitting in the defense table as the judge questioned the gamblers.
As reported by the Associated Press, both the prosecution and the defense will be allowed to use their palatory challenges, making them capable of rejecting a limited number of gamblers without any reason. This final phase will have a panel of 12 gamblers and several alternatives.
Opening statement starts from Monday
The opening statement in the case is scheduled to begin on Monday. The test is expected to last two months. Comombs has not convicted several serious federal allegations, including sex trafficking, racketering, bribery and kidnapping. If convicted, he can face life in jail.
Allegations of abuse and exploitation
Prosecutors allege that Comombs used his money, influence and colleagues to run a criminal venture behind the scenes of his music empire. The most disturbing claims are that Combes organized a program known as “Freak Offs”, where women were allegedly kept intoxicated and forced into sex acts with male participants during the film.
Defense denies criminal intentions
According to AP, the legal team of Combs argues that the government is consenting crime to adult relations. His lawyers have maintained the allegations and are based on misinterpretations of private, consent conduct.
Comombs have been held without bail since arrest at a New York hotel in September.
