The boys of One Direction may have gone their separate ways, but they always somehow find time for each other. This time perhaps what happened was what no one expected (or expected). It seems that Zayn Malik recently spoke out at an event, thanking his fans for their attendance, and also, in what could possibly be seen as a dig towards his former friend, Harry Styles.
Zayn Malik comments on Harry Styles’ expensive tour tickets? all we know
Performing in front of a large crowd, Zayn Malik appeared at Dolby Live at the Park MGM for a night full of singing as part of his seven-night residency at the venue. On Wednesday night, local time, he took to the mic to perform some of his biggest hits. However, soon after, he made a comment which has now become the center of attention. “Who’s from Vegas? Who’s from somewhere else?” And as fans replied, they expressed their heartfelt gratitude to her. He said, “I just want to say thank you so much to each and every one of you for being here with me tonight. You could have been anywhere, (but) you decided to spend your night with me.”
His next words caused an uproar among fans and online: “Hopefully the ticket prices weren’t too high – just saying!” His light-hearted comment, made with a smile and without any follow-up comment, has now become the center of discussion online. Many are wondering if this was actually a sharp dig at his former bandmate, Harry Styles, who recently announced his new album as well as a tour, Together, Together. Whose tickets are rare and prices are skyrocketing.
With pre-sales going live this week, fans of the singer have taken to social media to express their frustration at the incredibly high priced tickets, and yet all the shows have sold out. Many claim that scalpers have had their fill of the surge in resales, seeing prices rise by three times or more.
Zayn Malik’s comment comes in the midst of all the online discussion over the price, and although he didn’t mention any names personally, the timing of it has everyone convinced that it was indeed a dig.
