Ranbir Kapoor recently shared a heartwarming moment involving his daughter Raha and her reaction to the epic Ramayana. The actor revealed that Raha often asks him if he has shot scenes with characters like Hanuman while working on the film.

The makers of the film held a grand teaser screening in Los Angeles for a select audience, followed by a session with fans and media. During the event, Ranbir talked about how becoming a father coincides with his role in the film.

talking with APRanbir said that playing the character of Lord Ram while sharing the stories of Ramayana with his three-year-old daughter has been a special experience. He said that Raha is very engaged and curious, often asking questions like, “Did you shoot with Lord Hanuman today?” or “What did you do today?”
He said, “I am extremely fortunate that I got this opportunity which coincidentally coincided with me becoming a father. On one hand, I am going to work and playing the role of Lord Ram, but I am also going home and telling stories about Ramayana to my daughter Raha. Just to see a 3-year-old girl so engaged and asking me, ‘Did you shoot with Lord Hanuman today? Or with Sita today? What did you do today?'”
When Ranbir refused the role Ramayana
Interestingly, Ranbir had initially refused to play the role of Lord Ram. He felt that he would not be able to do justice to the character. However, the birth of his daughter brought about a change in perspective. He recalled that when the offer came four years ago, his first reaction was to say no as he was not prepared for such an important role.
Ranbir said that his initial fear soon turned into gratitude. He was at a point in his life when he needed a new direction. Becoming a father and playing the role of Lord Ram proved to be a turning point, inspiring him to take up the challenge.
