She said that she was not the first choice to play the lead role in the film. Director Thiagarajan Kumararaja had first approached two actresses who turned down the offer, and only then did he approach Samantha.
Furthermore, the actress also revealed that while working with the director, she would take a maximum of 5 takes for the final shot.
Super Deluxe was Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s second directorial venture, which released in 2019. The National Award-winning filmmaker was back in the director’s seat after a long gap of 8 years.
