Bridgerton actor Luke Thompson revealed his Indian roots ahead of the release of Bridgerton Season 4 and expressed a strong desire to explore the country.
Actor Luke Thompson, who plays Benedict Bridgerton in the popular Netflix series bridgertonHas recently shared information about his heritage and ambitions in an interview. With the upcoming release of Season 4, Thompson revealed details about her family ties to India, revealing that her grandmother was an Indian English. He also expressed curiosity about his roots and hoped to visit the country soon.

in an interview with The Times of IndiaThompson said, “I’m very curious. It’s weird how genetics work. Because, as I say, it’s not a big part of me culturally, but still, I think, it is genetically. So yes, I would love to come to India and visit and see what it’s like.”
In the same interview, Thompson also explained how bridgertonBeyond its grand romance and lavish backdrop, it uncovers deep emotional realities beneath its glossy exterior.
She said, “Yeah, I think it just goes deeper. What I love about this show is that it starts off based on a romance novel, which is often seen as a little simplistic, it really delves into the complexities of falling in love and love in general. And I think it’s really cool that it does that.”
Season 4 finally puts Benedict Bridgerton at the center of the story. After seasons of defying societal expectations and going through complicated relationships, he now fully steps into his romantic journey. Opposite them is Sophie Beck, played by Yerin Ha, a mysterious woman in silver who first catches her eye at her mother’s disguised ball.
The new season began in two parts, with Part 1 premiering on January 29, 2026, followed by Part 2 premiering on February 26, 2026. In total, the season consists of eight episodes.
