Fans of actor Brett Goldstein are extremely thrilled to know about his upcoming role in Netflix’s romantic comedy Office Romance. And the reason is his long-standing crush on Jennifer Lopez. Goldstein has always been vocal about his admiration for the singer on social media. From sharing JLo’s Instagram posts to sharing his stories about her movies, Goldstein has done it all.
He talked about Lopez’s looks and acting, especially in Hustlers. A while back, Goldstein had revealed that he was jealous of every actor who starred alongside her in the particular shot that caught his attention in the trailer. In a clip shared by a fan on social media, the Ted Lasso actor was seen saying how beautiful JLo looked at the age of 50.
Talking about the scene in which Lopez hugged her female co-star while wearing a fur coat, she said, “I’ve never wanted a hug more than that. It’s one of the best hugs ever. Give me one of your special hugs.”
Goldstein posted a reel of Lopez expressing love for him surrounded by heart-eye emojis. Fans didn’t forget. One fan said, “Brett loves Jennifer Lopez so much so I’m glad he gets to act alongside his crush.”
A Reddit user said that Goldstein had previously mentioned in a podcast that he is quite impressed with JLo and considers her one of the most beautiful women on earth. Others pointed out if his ‘infatuation’ working with her has actually happened, given that he has always described her as his crush. Now, he is in a romantic comedy with the Atlas star.
Jennifer Lopez is now single after divorcing Ben Affleck, whom she was married to for two years. According to Page Six, Goldstein last publicly dated actress Beth Rylance in 2021. The couple is set to star in the upcoming romantic-comedy Office Romance.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Goldstein and Joe Kelly are in charge of writing the script. Lopez was overjoyed to confirm her role by posting a story on Instagram. The film will be her third collaboration with Netflix, having previously made back-to-back hits like The Mother in 2023 and Atlas in 2024.
