Ryan Reynolds opened up about whether or not he was involved in leaking Deadpool test footage in 2014. When Deadpool and Wolverine released in theaters on July 26, the actor talked about the famous Merc and the Mouth scene, which was secretly uploaded to the internet 10 years ago.
While fans were excited about the leaked footage, viewers suspected that the actor might be involved in putting film clips on the internet. Reynolds, who appeared on the talk show, got hooked up to a polygraph machine and was asked about the incident.
Meanwhile, Hugh Jackman also joined the IF actor on the show and laughed at the setup and asked the actor not to lie as he was stuck with a polygraph machine.
What did Ryan Reynolds say about the Deadpool footage leak?
While being wired for a polygraph test, Reynolds was asked if he was involved in the 2014 footage leak incident. The Marvel actor revealed, “That’s a great question. That’s a great question. Pass.”
Laughing at Reynolds’ answer, Jackman reminded him that he was taking a polygraph test and was not allowed to lie. The Proposal actor said, “And if I wanted to walk out of this room and destroy everything in my path, I would do that.” He added, “I would say I would… what’s the question again?”
The Green Lantern actor confessed, “I mean, I may have provided assistance.” As the actor said he was demonstrating the leak, the talk show host confirmed that Reynolds was telling the truth. The actor added, “I was Scottie Pippen. I was just doing my job, and somebody else gets all the credit.”
