Katy Perry has once again found herself in the center of viral attention, this time, due to her AI-bound photos in 2025 Met Gala. Despite not participating in the prestigious event, Perry again became a trending subject on social media, with many fans that she made a appearance.
As a gala from 2025 on 5 April, a striking black latex gown began to roam on an array X (East Twitter) in a striking black latex gown. Realistic photographs showed the pop star on the prestigious staircase of the museum, wearing a scintight outfit with cut-out pinstrip blazer choli.
A contingent of artists quickly attracted attention, several fans claimed that Perry had excluded real Met Gala attendees such as Kim Kardashian, Rihanna and Gigi Hadid.
Social media users also dubbed the look of Katy Perry as ‘Outfit of the Night’ and some called him ‘Met Gala Ki Rani’. However, Perry’s fans were in a hurry to spot the digital nature of images, pointing to a dirty expansion in a picture, where the dress seemed to mix in her skin at the waist, confirming that images were ai-generated.
Although the pictures of AI created a stir, the reality is that Perry was not in Met Gala this year. The fans noticed that she was not listed on the leaked guest list and estimated her absence that her life was due to her preparation for the North American leg of a visit to her lifetime, which, this week, shut down according to the DailyMail.
The theme of the 2025 Met Gala was Superfine: Tailoring Black style, which was inspired by Monica Miller’s work, and this phenomenon focused a lot on black dandism and menwear.
This is not the first time Katy Perry AI-Janit Met Gala has joined the photos. Last year, when she also left the program, her stunning fake photos in a dramatic floral gown went viral in platforms such as X, Instagram and Redit. Perry responded to viral images, humorously, sharing two photos on her Instagram with a caption, “It could not make the mate, had to work.”
He also shared a lesson with his mother, which was fooled by images. Her mother, Mary sent a message, stated, “Ha feder! You didn’t know what a grand gown is. You look like a parade everyday, you are your own float lol.” Perry replied, “You have got worthy mother AI, beware!”
While Perry was absent, several other A-list celebrities also left the event, including Ariana Grande, Jennifer Lopez, Selena Gomez and Beyonsey. Since 2025, the theme of Met Gala celebrated Black Tailoring and Mainewear, showing Black Fashion History. The event was co-headed by Lebron Hamilton, Ek $ AP Rocky, Coleman Domingo, Fareel Williams and Anna Wintor as an honorary president with Lebron James.
