Ariana Grande uses her full name in the film credits of her upcoming film Wicked. During her conversation with Justin Hill, the podcast host on The Streaming Service, the actress-singer mentioned that she used Ariana Grande-Butera for the film because the entire filming process felt like a homecoming experience to her. . She also revealed that using her full name is also a tribute to the child within her.

Grande is set to play the role of Glinda in the film alongside Cynthia Erivo. The fantasy film will revolve around the unique bond of friendship between Erivo’s character Elphaba and Grande’s character Glinda.

Further in her conversation on the podcast episode, the Swindler actress said, “I feel like this experience was like a homecoming for me. I feel like I’ve come home in many ways through what I learned from Glinda, from Elphaba.”

Meanwhile, Grande explained how important Wicked has been to her. In an interview with a media portal in 2015, the actress-singer had claimed that the show would like her to play the role of Glinda in her career.

With the role falling straight into her hands, the young singer revealed that it was a good opportunity for her, as fans would expect her to pursue a career in not only music but also films.
