Actor Dibedu Bhattacharya recently voiced his confusion on the release of ‘Chakda Express’ during an interview. He also expressed his praise for the performance of actor Anushka Sharma in the film. Sports biopic is based on the life of cricketer Jhulan Goswami and will mark Sharma’s return to the big screen.
In a conversation News18 ShowshaBhattacharya shared, “You don’t know how eagerly I am waiting for release. This is a beautiful film. I looked at it (director) at Proseit Roy’s house, and even if it was not complete, it blew me.”
The actor was particularly impressed by Anushka Sharma’s depiction in the film, described it as “the best performance” till date. His praise connects the conspiracy around the film.
While discussing the delay, he further shared, “I must have told you if I have any updates. But the clean slate is on one side, and Netflix is on the other. What is going on between them, I have no clue.”
In 2022, the ‘Chakda Express’ was announced with great enthusiasm. The film Sharma’s brother Karnesh Sharma’s production house is supported by Clean Slate Film. The anticipation of Sharma’s return has increased only during this period of uncertainty.
Bhattacharya’s comments, especially since he has an important role in his film, has only been added to the discussion. The delay of the film has not reduced the spirits of its fans and supporters who continue to expect a resolution, which will finally hit the ‘Chakda Express’ on the screen.
Meanwhile, Sharma was last seen in the film ‘Zero’ with Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. On the individual front, she has allegedly moved to London with her cricketer-husband Virat Kohli and her two children- Vamika and Aaka.
