“But you were right Maddie. People may not have been able to make it to the theaters, but they’ve made time for it over and over again over the years and given it a lot of love,” he said, getting a little emotional.

“Many a times we think what was our shortcoming. It was our first film and we worked on it with honesty. Then we start blaming ourselves that if I was fitter or if I had done the film more honestly or if the costumes were better… anything. You start finding faults,” Madhavan said in Hindi.

But now when I see that even after there are housefull shows, I am confused why people want to pay money to watch the film! Why are they coming to theatres? It means they still want to experience the film on the big screen.

Saif Ali Khan is also in an important role in ‘Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein’. The film is now available in theaters as well as on Prime Video.
