Dhurandhar The Revenge Box Office: Ranveer Singh starrer Toofan crosses the crore mark. Advance amount of Rs 50 crore worldwide

Dhurandhar: The Revenge is making waves at the overseas box office with its advance sales. EOD on Tuesday, the Ranveer Singh starrer has earned around US$3.50 million (Rs 32.50 crore) in pre-sales in the opening weekend overseas. In doing so, the film has already surpassed the last opening weekend of its predecessor, which had collected US$3.24 million during its opening weekend overseas.

Combined with Rs. Around Rs 16 crore from India, worldwide pre-sales Rs. 48.50 crores, and they are set to cross Rs. Today the figure of 50 crores. In fact, at the time of writing this article, this figure has probably already been crossed, with sales coming from India and Australia. The final pre-sale is expected to comfortably fetch Rs. 100 crore, with a potential completion north of Rs. 150 crores. There is also a shot at Rs. 200 crores, although this will become clear once the advance amount is received for the weekend in India.

Leading the overseas pre-sales is the United States, where the film grossed approximately US$2.25 million over the four-day extended weekend, including US$800K from the premiere alone. This lead is already the highest for a Bollywood film in the market, and it is now aiming to create a pan-India record, the chances of which are increasing with each passing day. Final sales in the region are heading towards over USD 4 million, and depending on how the final expansion plays out, the film could even reach USD 5 million.

Australia remained almost above AUD 500K over the weekend. Similar to the US, it continues to surprise with its daily pace, despite total sales already being so large. In Canada, top chain cineplexes began sales yesterday and sold nearly CAD 200K worth of tickets on the first day. The second chain, Landmark Cinemas, had already been on sale for a few days, bringing the total market to approximately CAD 400K.

Germany has sold more than 10,000 tickets for the weekend, which is equivalent to Pathan. It is absolutely absurd to match an SRK film in this market, and it really puts the performance into perspective. In fact, sales are so absurdly strong across all markets that they make the United Kingdom look like an underperformer with GBP 150K, despite that figure being at the same level as Jawan and Pathan.
