Dhurandhar maintained a strong hold even in the sixth week. The film made Rs. 2.50 crore on Tuesday, an increase of 20 percent. The fee for the sixth week is Rs. 19.25 crores, which is again an all-time record for an Indian film.
Dhurandhar overtook the previous record holder, Stree 2 (Rs 17 crore), and recorded the biggest sixth week ever at the Hindi box office, that too in just 5 days. This week it will close around Rs 100. 22 crores, which will be a new benchmark for the upcoming releases.
Dhurandhar’s running low is Rs. Has reached. It grossed ₹764.25 crore at the Indian box office in its 40-day theatrical run. It will surpass even Rs. 775 crore figure in the seventh week. Reaching the milestone of Rs 800 crore is also now on its radar as the film will continue to enthrall the audience even after the new release.
However, the biggest hurdle for Dhurandhar will be Border 2. If Ranveer Singh’s film manages to hold strong against the Sunny Deol-led military drama sequels, it will have a chance to become the first Indian film to touch the Rs. Net figure of 800 crores in Hindi.
Dhurandhar has emerged as the most watched original Hindi film theatrically in the post-pandemic era, surpassing Gadar 2. It is expected to close its run by crossing 3.50 crore viewers. However, it seems quite difficult for Dangal to cross 3.70 crore footfalls to become the most watched original Hindi film of the last 25 years.
