15 minute intermission in Canadian theatre? this is it Dhurandhar 2 Effect. Ranveer Singh’s amazing action drama Dhurandhar: Revenge has done the unthinkable – prompting Cineplex, one of Canada’s largest theater chains, to reportedly introduce intermissions after nearly two decades.

This rare break was documented by a fan, who shared a video from the Cineplex screening on Instagram. “Unlike cinemas in India, cineplexes usually do not have an intermission. But Dhurandhar 2 He changed it (sic),” he wrote, punctuating the film’s long take with a 15-minute pause.

According to the post, the decision was taken after numerous requests from viewers who wanted a brief respite during the nearly four-hour film. “We couldn’t believe it. I’ve never seen anything like this in my 20+ years of living in Canada. We were all celebrating,” he shared, calling it a “small joy” that made the experience even more memorable.

The fan also noted that Cineplex had offered intermissions for longer films in the 1990s, before phasing them out, making the moment more unusual.
