Dhanush is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film ‘Raayan’. The project is his second directorial venture after the 2017 film ‘Pa Paandi’. With the release date set for July 26, Dhanush and his son visited their ancestral temple in Theni district of Tamil Nadu and prayed for the success of ‘Raayan’.
Dhanush shared a picture from his temple visit
Dhanush shared a picture on his social media handle in which he is sitting with his legs folded on the ground while praying at his ancestral temple. During this, the scene is serene and Dhanush is seen in a moment of peace.
On the other hand, a large tree surrounds the temple, which further enhances the peaceful ambiance of the place. In this picture, Dhanush is seen having a private, reflective moment at his ancestral temple. Sharing the picture, he wrote, “Staying connected to your roots is peace,” along with a white heart emoji.
Let us tell you that Dhanush went to Theni district, which is the hometown of the actor’s father Kasturi Raja. The actor’s ancestral temple is located in Muthuranga Puram in Theni.

Raayan is a revenge drama centered around the title character, who undergoes rigorous training to take revenge on the killers responsible for the death of his family. His quest leads him into the criminal underworld.
The film boasts of a stellar cast including SJ Suryah, Prakash Raj, Selvaraghavan, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Saravanan.
Ahead of the film’s release, the filmmakers have released a new song ‘O Raya’, composed by AR Rahman. The lyrics of the song are based on the themes of longing and connection.

Apart from this, the actor is set to star in the upcoming film Kubera directed by Sekhar Kammula, starring Nagarjuna and Rashmika Mandanna in pivotal roles.
