Fida’s director Sekhar Kammula’s upcoming film Kubera, which played the lead roles in Dhanush, Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna and Jim Sarbh, is set to release after much delay on 20 June. The film was first to be released in theaters in December 2024. Director Sekhar Kamula will return to cinema after a gap of four years.

The new poster with the date of update release was released with the message “Happy Maha Shivaratri”. Dhanush and Nagarjuna faced in the poster, while Jim Sarbh dressed in a fast clothes stood in the middle. The caption on the post reads, “A Story of Power, A Battle for Wealth, A Game of Fet. Sekhar Kamula’s Kubera is ready to give a governing dramatic experience from June 20, 2025 (SIC).”

The producers released the teaser of the first glimpse of the film on November 15, 2024. The Jhalak provides a panoramic form on the film’s central characters- Dhanush, Rashmika, Nagarjuna and Jim. Sekhar maintained a sense of mystery, focusing on character introduction and emotional depth without making a lot of disclosure about the film.

Kubera is considered a socio-drama that examines subjects of ambition, morality and power of power. The film was shot together in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, and will release a pan-Indian, which also includes dubbed versions in Kannada and Malayalam. It is jointly produced by Sunil Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under Sri Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations Private Limited Banners.

Rajkummar Rao’s gangster drama film, Malik, Kubera will also be released on the same date. While Dhanush’s direction Nilavuku Anmel Annadi Cobam was recently released, he was last seen on the big screen in Ryan, which was also directed by him. Rashmika Pushpa 2: The Rule and Chhava have been in the news for their back-to-back successes.
