Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor is currently on the competition for his upcoming film, deity. In a recent conversation, he reflected his early conflicts before making it big in the industry. He shared how he could not buy clothes once in Lokhandwala and recalled 250 auditions before reducing his success role. The actor also excavated a fickle in some of his contemporaries, mentioning how some people struggle in BMWS ‘as they start their careers.
In a clear conversation with Raj Shamani, Shahid Kapoor, veteran actors Pankaj Kapoor and Neelima Azeem’s son, reflecting on her minor upbringing. He shared how his father was a character actor, while his mother was a Kathak dancer since the age of 15. Despite growing up in rented houses and facing several auditions, he never felt a sense of privilege.
He discussed how he once felt suffering from his circumstances, highlighting people’s opposite experiences. While some people begin to work with top directors and struggle despite their privileges, they, on the other hand, entered the industry only after facing rejection in 250 auditions.

Shahid shared a humor of how people now praise their fashion sense, but he remembers a time when he could not even give clothes in Lokhandwala, which reminds of his humble beginning. “I remember at a point, I did not have enough money to buy clothes in Lokhandwala,” he said.
Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor’s upcoming film, the trailer for Deva, is found with positive reviews from the audience. The film’s first song, Bhasad Matka, has quickly gone viral on social media.
The deity marked the first release of the actor’s year, including Pooja Hegde, Pavel Gulati and a talented artist. The action-pack thriller, directed by Rawson Andrews and produced by Roy Kapoor Films, is set to hit theaters on 31 January 2025.
On the other hand, Shahid has also been designed to act in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Arjun Ustara. An important role in the film will feature Triptai Dimari, which combines the excitement around Shahid’s upcoming projects.
