Deepika Padukone has stepped away from acting in the ‘The Intern’ remake to focus on making it. Amitabh Bachchan’s co-integrated project has been faced many delays since it was announced in 2020.

After years of waiting, the Hindi remake of ‘The intern’ is finally moving forward, but this time, Deepika Padukone will not act in it. She was earlier ready to act with Amitabh Bachchan, but has now decided to produce the film only under her company, KA Productions.

Based on the 2015 Hollywood hit, starring Anne Hathaway and Robert de Niro, the Hindi version has been in work since 2020, when KA Productions acquired rights.
Originally, the senior role was to be played by Rishi Kapoor, but after his death, Amitabh Bachchan came on the board. However, the production of the film has faced frequent delays due to Padukone’s maternity braking and scheduling conflicts.
