We welcomed the vanilla Google Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL flagships in late August, now attention turns to the smaller Pro and Google’s next-generation foldable.
The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold has shifted to a more traditional 20:9 aspect ratio for the cover display, compared to the 17.4:9 aspect ratio for the original Pixel Fold. Also, the inner display has gotten noticeably larger with a new 8” diagonal. It also has a more efficient Tensor G4 chipset, but that covers this year’s big upgrades.

There’s no Classic model this year, but there is the Galaxy Watch7. It comes in 40mm and 44mm (1.3” and 1.5” displays, respectively) and also has an ECG sensor. Both it and the Ultra can also monitor your blood pressure and skin temperature. While it’s not as rugged, it’s still rated for 50 meters of water resistance, which should be enough for most.

Finally, it’s worth mentioning the Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 – the new Tensor A1 chipset promises twice as much noise cancellation as the original Pro. However, these won’t launch until later this month, so we’ll have to take a second look at them.
