While the OnePlus Nord 4 was still on pre-order last week, that’s now over and the phone is available on open sale, including the cheaper 8/128GB variant. It’s a throwback to an era when metal unibody design was the pinnacle.
The Nord 4 has a 6.74” 1240p+ OLED display (120Hz, 10-bit) and a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset. Inside is a big 5,500mAh battery with 100W fast charging (100% in 28 minutes), but no wireless – that’s the price you pay for the metal back. Anyway, there’s a 50MP main camera (1/1.95”, OIS) and 8MP ultra-wide on the back, plus a 16MP selfie camera on the front. The phone is IP65 rated for dust and water resistance. OnePlus is promising up to 4 OS updates.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is currently over half off. Keep in mind this is the Exynos 2200 variant. The display is a 6.4” FHD+ 120Hz OLED panel with Gorilla Glass 5, the phone is IP68 rated. Apart from the chipset, the other problem with this model is the 4,500mAh battery, which lasts a very short time. However, you do get 15W wireless charging along with 25W wired charging, Samsung DeX, good software support (3 more OS updates to come) and a reliable camera – 50MP main (OIS), 8MP 3x telephoto and 12MP ultra wide (123°).

We know foldables are usually quite expensive, but even last year’s Motorola Razr 40 is more than half the price. The sub-line display and Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 on the outside aren’t ideal, but the 6.9” FHD+ LTPO OLED display is great and you get a relatively large 4,200mAh battery with 30W wired and 5W wireless charging.

The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra is definitely a better phone, but even with a 42% discount, it’s expensive compared to most phones in its performance class. Of course, those phones don’t fold. Anyway, you get a much better Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and a brilliant 3.6” 144Hz cover display compared to the regular Razr 40.

The Realme Narzo 60 Pro is also from last year, but we can’t pass it up with a 41% discount. If you’re looking for a cheap 5G phone then this is a great option. The Dimensity 7050 chipset is pretty fast for this class and it is paired with a 100MP camera (f/1.8 lens with OIS) that can do 4K video recording (at 30fps). The 5,000mAh battery with 67W wired charging is also better than the average device in this class. Plus, you get a fancy curved 6.7” FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and even 10-bit colours and HDR10+ support.

Thursday will see the launch of the Motorola Edge 50. It features a striking design featuring a curved 6.7″ OLED display (FHD+, 120Hz, 10-bit) and an aluminum body with a faux leather or suede back. It is powered by a slightly overclocked Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset and a 5,000mAh battery with both 68W wired and 15W wireless charging. The camera system will give tough competition to the S23 FE with a 50MP main (1/1.56”, OIS), 10MP 3x telephoto, and 13MP ultra wide (120°).

The Realme 13 Pro and 13 Pro+ are set to launch on Friday. We’ve already reviewed the Plus model and were impressed with its bright display, long-lasting (and fast-charging) battery, and high-quality camera arrangement – 50MP main (1/1.56”, OIS), 50MP 3x telephoto, 8MP ultra wide was also quite good. However, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 is a little slower, and the regular Realme 13 Pro has less impressive camera hardware.
