The Oppo F27 Pro+ was announced this week as one of the most rugged phones that still looks normal. It is the first model in India to carry an IP69 rating (protection against high-temperature water jets) and has military-grade durability (MIL-STD-810H). The curved 6.7-inch OLED display on the front is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery with Dimensity 7050 and 67W fast charging. The camera setup is pretty basic with a 64MP module at the back and an 8MP selfie camera at the front.

Before buying the Civi, you should consider the OnePlus 12R. It uses Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and has a 6.78” LTPO display. The 5,500mAh battery is big and fast (100W charging). You also get a pair of Hasselblad cameras – 50MPM main (1/1.56”) and 8MP ultra wide (112°). However, there is no tele and the single selfie module has a 16MP sensor. The OnePlus is IP64 rated and uses the GG Victus 2 as well.

The Realme GT 6T marks the return of the GT series to the country. It features a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset and a big, super bright display – a 6.78″ LTPO OLED with up to 6,000 nits of brightness. The battery system is also impressive with a 5,500mAh capacity and 120W charging.
To keep the budget in check something had to give and that is the camera. It is only decent with a 50MP sensor (1/1.95”) and an 8MP ultra wide (112°) on the back, along with a decent 32MP selfie camera.

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro falls in the same price range. It uses the regular Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and has a 144Hz 6.7” P-OLED instead of an LTPO display (the Realme display goes up to 120Hz). Brightness is pretty good, though it peaks at “only” 2,000 nits.
The Moto has a 50MP main camera with a larger sensor (1/1.55”), plus a 10MP 3x tele and 13MP ultra wide (120°), and there’s also a 50MP selfie camera that’s even more impressive. The battery is 1,000mAh smaller at 4,500mAh, however, so it can do not only 125W wired charging, but 50W wireless as well. The Edge 50 Pro also stands out with an IP68 rating (vs. none for the Realme).

The Vivo T3x is a fairly simple device – a big 6.72″ IPS LCD (FHD+, 120Hz) paired with a big 6,000mAh battery (with 44W charging). It does 5G thanks to the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset (you get 4GB as standard, but there are 6GB and 8GB options too) and 128GB of storage is expandable. It’s really the lone 50MP camera on the back and the simple 8MP selfie module on the front that disappoints. There’s even a dust and water resistance rating, IP64. That’s not bad considering the price.
