Deal: Google Pixels are up to $300 off, the price of the Nothing Phone (3) is also reduced

The Pixels were on a break for a while in terms of discounts, but now they’re back in full force. There are discounts of up to $300 on the entire Pixel 10 lineup, and even on last year’s vanilla model.

The Google Pixel 9 shows some advantages over its replacement – the main camera has a larger 1/1.31″ 50MP sensor and a higher-resolution 48MP ultra-wide (vs. 13MP). It lacks the 10.8MP 5x/112mm periscope, however, so that’s new for 2025. It also has a slightly smaller battery, 4,700mAh vs. 4,970mAh. However, the Pixel Battery life on the 9 is actually better (with an active usage score of 13:05h compared to 12:08h for the newer model) and charging speeds are almost the same.

The Google Pixel 10 is the first generation after the Tensor chipset switched from Samsung to TSMC as a fab. However, the Tensor G5 is nothing impressive – it’s faster than the G4, although it has one less hurdle to clear. And it’s not that fast.

Note that the big discount on the Pixel 9 only applies to the 128GB variant – there’s only a $100 discount on the 256GB model, so the Pixel 10 256GB is actually cheaper.

For $150 more than the vanilla 10, you can get the Pixel 10 Pro. It has a larger 1/1.31” 50MP sensor on the main (versus 1/2.0” 48MP), as well as higher resolution telephoto (48MP 5x/113mm), ultra-wide (48MP) and selfie cameras (42MP). They all have 6.3″ displays – if you want the larger, you can get the Pixel 10 Pro XL. It’s basically an up-sized 10 Pro with a 6.8″ display and a 5,200mAh battery with higher charge rates (45W wired and 25W wireless vs. 30W/15W).

Of course, if you want a bigger screen, the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold is also $300 off – this gives you a massive 8.0″ display inside, in addition to the 6.4″ cover display. Despite having 16GB of RAM, the Tensor G5 isn’t a good multitasker, and the cameras are less impressive than the 10 Pro/10 Pro XL.

This was Google’s own take on Android – there’s no different approach to anything. The Nothing Phone (3) is the company’s first attempt at a flagship and while it’s not overly ambitious with a Snapdragon 8S Gen 4 chipset and a 6.67″ LTPS OLED display, at least it’s cheaper than most flagships. Plus, the 8S Gen 4 outperforms the Tensor G5. The phone has four 50MP cameras – 1/1.3″ main, 3x periscope and 114° ultra-wide on one rear and one on front. The 5,150mAh battery supports 65W wired and 15W wireless charging.

Google doesn’t make the Flip foldable, but Motorola does. This is from last year – the price of the Motorola Razr 2024 has dropped to just $350, which is mid-range territory. The phone has a 6.9” LTPO main display and 3.6” cover display, as well as a 4,200mAh battery with 30W wired and 15W wireless charging. The Dimensity 7300X chipset is absolutely fine and the same applies to the 50+13MP camera setup.

Next, we’ll look at some headphones. The Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 are capable in-ear headphones that are more comfortable than the originals. Noise cancellation and especially audio quality have also improved significantly. However, while Google has some cutting-edge software on these, we wish they focused more on bug fixes.

The Nothing Headphones (1) are an over-ear set that are full of style and have great audio quality and noise cancellation. The build quality is also great, but the headphones are heavy. And style isn’t for everyone.

To complete the set, Motorola’s Moto Buds+ have dual drivers – an 11mm woofer and 6mm tweeter with audio tuning by Bose. They also support Hi-Res Audio, Dolby Atmos, and even Dolby Head Tracking.
