Last week, the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE was priced at £585 for the 8/128GB model and £640 for the 8/256GB model. It came with a free Galaxy Watch FE, which was nice, but wouldn’t you want a lower price?

If you want, take another look at Amazon’s offer – the prices of the 8/128GB and 8/256GB models have dropped to £550 and £600 respectively. There’s no free watch this time, but there is an alternative offer for a bundle of the S24 FE plus Galaxy Buds3 that’s less than the combined S24 FE + Buds3 price.

This week, the Samsung Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 come with a free timepiece – it’s just a Samsung Galaxy Fit3 smart band, but that’s on top of the £100 discount for these phones, making it a pretty good deal If you I am aiming for a mid-range phone.

And it’s not for everyone, but you can also get a free Galaxy Fit3 if you buy a Galaxy XCover7. Do you need a strong phone with a removable battery?

Let’s look at the Samsung Galaxy Fit3, which costs £40 now (43% off MSRP). It has a 1.6” OLED display, supports fall detection and emergency SOS (so it’s a perfect gift for older guys) and promises to last up to 13 days on a single charge. Note that it lacks built-in GPS, so you’ll have to bring your phone with you if you want to track outdoor exercises like running or biking.

The Motorola Razr 50 Ultra Flip foldable costs less than £800. This buys you a 6.9″ internal and 4″ 165Hz external display, a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, a 4,000mAh battery with 45W wired and 15W wireless charging, and a 50+50MP camera that includes a 2x portrait lens.

Foldables are a nice form factor, but limited in terms of cameras. For less money you can get the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra instead – it has a 50MP main (1/1.3” sensor), 64MP 3x telephoto (72mm) and 50MP ultra-wide, as well as a 50MP selfie. This Ultra also uses the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 instead of the “full fat” 8 Gen 3 and has a 6.7” 144Hz OLED display. The battery is big and fast with a 4,500mAh capacity and 125W/50W charging.

If the Ultra is too big for you, check out the Motorola Edge 50 Neo. It has a 6.4″ display and is the same size as the Pixel 9. It doesn’t have the camera capabilities of the Ultra, but does have a 50MP main (1/1.5″), 10MP 3x tele (73mm). And 13MP ultra wide. Be warned though, the camera was the biggest issue with this phone in our review. The 4,310mAh battery lasts long and charges fast with 68W wired charging and less with 15W wireless charging. The Dimensity 7300 is a bit weak for this class, but the discount makes this limitation easy to accept.

But if the big screen isn’t an issue, check out the Honor 200 Pro. The screen in question is a 6.78” 120Hz OLED with a dual camera cutout – a 50MP selfie and a 2MP depth sensor. The phone’s oddly shaped camera island houses a 50MP main (1/1.3″), a 50MP 2.5x telephoto and a 12MP ultra-wide. The silicon carbon battery has a capacity of 5,200mAh and you get 100W wired and 66W wireless charging.

The Honor Magic V2 is a 2023 phone, although it will only arrive in Europe in early 2024. It shows its age with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, but has solid cameras – 50MP main, 20MP 2.5x tele (62mm) and 50MP ultra-wide. And a large 5,000mAh battery with 66W wired-only charging.

For context, the thinner new Galaxy Z Fold6 Special Edition is thicker than the V2 (10.6mm closed vs. 9.9/10.1mm), while it has a smaller battery (Samsung has kept the original Z Fold6’s 4,400mAh). True, it brings a new 200MP sensor to the main camera, but the telephoto is still a 10MP 3x module and the ultra-wide is a 12MP module. And that’s just for those who can also purchase the special edition, which is only available in South Korea for now. Meanwhile, the Magic V2 is here and can be yours for £1,000.
