The recently released Marvel Studios’ much-awaited film ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in the lead roles, had a great opening at the Indian box office on Friday. Early estimates suggest that the film maintained its momentum on Saturday, July 27 as well.
The film had record advance booking on the first day and earned Rs 21 crore. On the second day, it reportedly earned around Rs 22.50 crore, taking the total net collection to Rs 43.50 crore. The film’s total gross is Rs 44.99 crore, which is slightly short of the Rs 50 crore mark. Final figures are awaited.

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ witnessed the maximum occupancy with 41.94% in its English shows on Saturday, July 27. The film has crossed the Rs 500 crore mark at the overseas box office, making it one of the highest-grossing films of the year.
In North America, the film surpassed the $100 million mark with $96 million on its opening day, the sixth-highest gross for an R-rated release.

Despite its ‘Adult’ rating, the film achieved remarkable collections. According to initial reports, the film was estimated to gross Rs 25+ crore (21+ crore net) on its first day across all its versions, which the film achieved.
