Ajay Devgan and Rakul Preet Singh have reunited for the sequel of the romantic comedy De De Pyaar De 2. Since its announcement, fans have been eagerly waiting for the update. However, it looks like they will have to wait a little longer, as the makers have now revealed that the film will release in theaters on November 14, 2025, instead of the originally scheduled date of May 1, 2025.
Luv Films put out a post on Instagram revealing the new release date of De De Pyaar De 2. The post reads, “#DeDePyaarDe2 to release on 14th November 2025. The film is directed by @anshul3112, produced by #BhushanKumar, #KrihanKumar, #LuvRanjan and @gargankur82, and written by @tarun.j.85 and Luv Ranjan. “

Responding to the post, a fan wrote, “The excited first part is my favourite.” Someone commented, “Reveal the cast also quickly BS…”. One person wrote, “It’s a hit, keep the music good.” One person wrote, “Just make sure the songs are blockbuster hits. We want arijit singh honey singh darshan rawal..”.
Pinkvilla had earlier told that Luv Ranjan and his team had written to R. Madhavan has been brought on board to play an important role in De De Pyaar De 2. The actor will be reuniting with Ajay Devgan, which will mark another collaboration of theirs after their intense face-to-face in Shaitan.
However, according to the insider, this time their on-screen dynamics will take a lighter turn, with a comedic twist to their rivalry.
The source also revealed that R Madhavan sees De De Pyar De 2 as a refreshing break from his usually intense roles. Having last ventured into light-hearted romantic comedy territory with the Tanu Weds Manu franchise, she welcomed the opportunity to feature in the sequel to the 2018 romantic comedy.
Both Madhavan and Devgan are reportedly excited with the new energy being injected into the film by the producers.
De De Pyaar De 2 will pick up the story from where the first installment ended, and will continue to explore the humorous incidents within Rakul Preet Singh’s character’s family. The sequel focuses on the humorous situations that arise from the unconventional relationship between 50 year old man Ashish (played by Ajay) and 20 year old woman Ayesha (played by Rakul).
