Former Australian cricketer David Warner is officially making his acting debut with a cameo in the Telugu film Robinhood, starring Nithin and Sarela directed by Venky Kudumula. The cricketer arrived in Hyderabad on Sunday, today to release the trailer of the film at a pre-of-relief event.

A video of Warner was shared on social media at Hyderabad Airport. In the clip, he was seen warmly welcoming on his arrival. The former cricketer was presented with a bouquet and a scarf. Warner saw the dapper in his white T-shirt and blue denims as he came to India.

The video was shared with the caption, “#RobinHoodtrailer will be unveiled by him at the Grand Pre-Relise event (SIC) this evening.”

David Warner shared the poster on his ex -account with the caption, “Indian cinema, I have come here. Encouraged to be a part of #Robinhood. March 28 (SIC) enjoyed shooting for this one worldwide.”

Makers, Mythri filmmakers revealed the poster on social media with caption, “After shining and leaving a mark on the ground, it is time for them to shine on the silver screen. An exciting Camo (SIC) offering @Davidvarner 31, presenting widely loved to Indian cinema with #Robinhood in #Robinhood.”

Warner allegedly shot his share during the film’s Australia schedule in September 2024. Due to his association with a fan favorite Sunrisers Hyderabad, a fan in Telugu, Warner has often expressed his praise for Telugu cinema to dance for Allu Arjun’s songs with his viral reels.

Robinhood is a Telugu film written and directed by Venky Kudumula. Heist Comedy was initially slate for release on 25 December 2024, but faced an unexpected delay. It is now scheduled for a grand dramatic release on 28 March.
