A love story directly from Bollywood
Ironically, the summary that defines Goila also determines the stage for its love story. In 2017, during one of his butter chicken pop-ups, he met Divya Rao, who was now her fiancé and a vegetarian. This was a chance encounter when he was asked to prepare vegetarian food for the team member during the pop-up. Now, their brand is synonymous with ghee, butter and of course, good non-vegetarian food. So, the request for a vegetarian food was nothing that encouraged him, yet he came with a special. Eager to know more, he requested to meet him – and that person became Divya. He had a conversation that eventually caused coffee, and then something else. Six months later, they were dating.
His plant-based lifestyle was contrary to his identity, but this difference became the cornerstone of his relationship. “His lifestyle and food options taught me a lot. We respect each other’s choice, which built a strong foundation,” he says. Over time, the honor increased into association.
Asked if he has a Pak fight and is competitive about cooking, it is what he said, “She does not cook, leaving a great cup of tea,” she laughs.
Seven and a half years later, Sarasash proposed to Cottaswolds, England, a moment he still describes as “like a painting in my head”. He returned and was a quiet family festival in Mumbai.
Symbols and motivations
The rise of Sarasash brought him face to face with the people, which he once praised from a distance. Meeting chef Sanjeev Kapoor on 24 proved to be decisive. “I gave him his handwritten recipe book. He said,” You remind me at your age. ” This shaped my career.

Born in Delhi and grew up, Goila now calls Mumbai home. “I am a Mumbaikar professionally. I have made everything here.
