How to make date chutney at home | Date Chutney Recipe
Making date chutney at home is quite easy. The recipe has been shared by digital creator Nitya Hedge (@finefettlecookerys) on Instagram. To make date chutney, take a bunch of dates, cut them in half and remove their seeds. Keep them aside. Heat some oil in a pan. Now add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, dried red chillies and curry leaves. Mix them and then add the chopped dates to the pan. After mixing it well, add a small ball of tamarind on top of the rest of the ingredients. Cook it for a minute and then add a cup of water. Mix it well and cover it with a lid.
After 10-15 minutes, when the dates become soft, add sambar powder and salt as per your taste. Let it cook for another five minutes. Serve hot or cold!
