Daisy Edgar-Jones talks about onscreen chemistry with Jacob Elordi, calls Swift Horse co-star ‘charismatic’

Daisy Edgar-Jones recently revealed how she quickly bonded with her co-star Jacob Elordi in the upcoming film On Swift Horses. The actress recently attended the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and revealed what she likes about Elordi.

Speaking about his film, which premiered at the highly acclaimed festival, Edgar-Jones said, “It’s not hard to have chemistry with Jacob,” adding that he was “charismatic”.

The 26-year-old actress added that filming the scenes with Elordi and her character showcased the connection between them and also developed certain dynamics in an intelligent way.

He then described his experience of reading the scripts as like reading poems and appreciated everything that happened in the story.

Praising the work of director Daniel Minahan, the Where the Crawdads Sing actress said, “The way he gave us space to get to know each other and work together, and we shot Jacob and I’s initial scenes in the movie first, which was great.”

Meanwhile, the ‘He Went That Way’ actor also spoke out and said he loved his cowboy role, and the chemistry between him and Daisy Edgar-Jones was instant.

When asked about his audition for the film, Elordi explained that it was like a workshop where he, Daisy, and the director had a lot of fun together.

On Swift Horses is a film based on the 2019 book of the same name written by Shannon Pufahl.

As per the plot of the film, it is the story of a newly married couple consisting of Muriel (played by Edgar-Jones) and Lee (played by Will Poulter) who start a new life after returning from the Korean War.

Meanwhile, Elordi’s character Julius enters the scene, who is Lee’s younger brother. A hopeless love triangle soon forms when the three make plans to move to California, however, Julius disappears and moves to Las Vegas.

In addition to the three stellar actors, the film also stars Sasha Calle, Kat Cunning, and Diego Calva. Although the film had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 7, 2024, it is currently looking for distributors.
