With Rs. With a total gross of around ₹38.50 crore, Dhurandhar created its first daily collection record in India for “Biggest Third Saturday”, surpassing Baahubali: The Conclusion.
This is not only a first for Dhurandhar, but also a first for Bollywood in this early phase, as almost all the records till now belong to pan-Indian films like Baahubali 2, Pushpa 2 and KGF 2, which have made good collections in multiple languages. The next treat for Bollywood comes in the fourth week, made possible by the release of the Telugu version that week.
Below is the list of daily collection record holders. The first few weeks are records for the initial strength of those films, some of which were achieved by Pushpa 2, and then there is the dominance of Baahubali. In the subsequent weeks, the film may get a boost due to some holidays, and we have KGF 2 getting a record due to the Eid holidays and Pushpa 2 getting a record due to the Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays. Finally, there is Kantara, which later expanded into other languages.
Dhurandhar is only one day old, but three weeks from now, the bottom half of this list will probably be all Dhurandhar.
