Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Coolie’ is set to hit theaters in many languages on 14 August. Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udayanidhi Stalin witnessed a special screening of the film and praised the film. He also congratulated Rajinikanth for completing 50 years in Tamil cinema. In his X post written in Tamil and English, Udhayanidhi wished director Lokesh Kanagaraja and the entire cast for the success of ‘Coolie’.

Congratulating Rajinikanth, Udayanidhi wrote, “I am really happy to congratulate my superstar @rajinikanth sir to complete 50 brilliant years in the film industry.”

In his X post, the ‘Maman’ actor said that he saw a special screening of ‘Cooli’. “I got an opportunity to get an initial glimpse of my much awaited film #coolie to be released yesterday. I enjoyed this power-pack mass entertainer and I am sure it will capture the hearts of the audience everywhere. My heartfelt desire @nimmaupendra sir, @anirudhoffiCial, #Subebinshahir, #SubebinShassan and The entire team (SIC) behind this film, “he said.

‘Cool’ will be released worldwide on Thursday and will collide at the box office with Villritic Roshan-JR NTR’s ‘War 2’. Rajinikanth-starrer is taking the box office from the storm, which is already growing before Rs 75 crore.

The film, A Gangster Drama, is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraja and has a contingent of artists including Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, Satyaraj, Saubin Shahir, Upendra, Shruti Haasan and many others. Produced by Sun Pictures, Rajinikanth has his first collaboration with Lokesh Kanagaraja in the film.
