Superstar Rajinikanth’s huge anticipated film, ‘Coulie’, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraja, recorded a historic opening at the box office worldwide. It is said that the film has grossed more than Rs 100 crore globally. However, the action drama is receiving mixed reviews equally from critics and audiences.

According to the tracking website SacnilkIt is said that ‘Coolie’ collected a net (gross minus tax) of Rs 65 crore in India on its first day in India. According to initial reports in the international market, Lokesh could rake the Kanagarj-Director in theaters for Rs 125–150 crore on its first day.

In India, Tamil and Hindi versions recorded 86.99 percent and 35.66 percent of the highest occupancy respectively. The Telugu version 92.10 percent entered into occupancy, while the Kannada-dubbed version recorded 71.37 percent occupancy.

‘Cool’ manufactured by Sun Pictures, hits theaters on August 14, Cashing on Independence Day Weekend. The film includes an artist contingent in an actors’ contingent, including Rajinikanth, Satiraj, Shruti Haasan, Saubin Shahir and Nagarjuna.

Bharat Today reviewer Janani K. evaluated 5 of the film 2 stars and wrote, “Rajinikanth’s charisma, Wit, and screen appearance remains strong on 74. A single close-up of his eye is enough to make the audience energetic, and in such moments, ‘Kooli’ Lines are heavy-heavily, they are involved in the films along with the Hawas. Do not resonate according to the intention.

Kannada superstar Upendra, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan and actor Pooja Hegde appeared in Camos in the film. Music composer Anirudh Ravichender, cinematographer Girish Gangadharan and editor Philomin Raj are part of the technical crew.
