Superstar Rajinikanth and director Lokesh Kanagaraj are finally set to begin shooting for their much-awaited film Coolie from today, i.e. July 5. The actor was recently spotted arriving in Hyderabad for the shooting of the film.
The official cast list of the upcoming film bankrolled by Sun Pictures is yet to be released and is expected to be announced soon.

A few days ago, Lokesh Kanagaraj shared an official BTS photo from Rajinikanth’s look test for Coolie. The post went viral on his social media handle in which the superstar was seen in a dangerous and rustic bearded look.
Moreover, the director recently shared that Vikram’s cinematographer Girish Gangadharan is reuniting with him for Coolie, which has definitely got fans excited. In the same post, the Master director mentioned that the official cast details will be revealed soon.

Coolie stars Rajinikanth in the lead role and is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film, earlier titled ‘Thalaivar 171’, was officially released recently. The makers have released a title teaser in which Rajinikanth is seen in full force in an action sequence.
Although the official update is still pending, the film will feature actors Shruti Haasan and Sathyaraj in the lead roles. Shruti Haasan had also uploaded a photo from the sets of Coolie but later deleted it. Apart from this, the film also ropes in Anirudh Ravichander to compose the music track and score.

Rajinikanth is all set for the release of his next film Vettaiyaan, directed by TJ Gnanavel. The film, which is slated to hit the big screens in October this year, stars Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier among others in the lead roles.
The film will feature the actor as a retired police officer who sets out to unravel a mystery and goes to great lengths to uncover the truth. The superstar has already completed shooting for the film and dubbing is set to begin soon.
