‘Coolie’ director Lokesh Kanagaraj on Saturday released the first official character poster of actor Sathyaraj. The actor plays the role of Rajashekhar in the film, which stars Rajinikanth in the lead role. The poster shows Sathyaraj wearing a simple shirt and glasses while he is looking at the open end of a wire. The poster hinted at the suspense and intensity in the film.

Lokesh shared the poster on social media platform X and captioned it: “Happy to have Sathyaraj sir on board as Rajasekhar in Coolie. Welcome Sir.”

Earlier this week, the director shared character posters of Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan and Soubin Shahir from the film. The Telugu superstar plays Simon in the film, while Shruti’s character is named Preethi. ‘Coolie’ also reportedly stars Kannada actors Upendra and Mahendran in important roles.

The film is being made on a big budget and is one of the most anticipated Tamil pan-India films of 2025. There have been rumours of actor Aamir Khan joining the film’s team for a special cameo. However, there has been no official confirmation on the same by the makers yet. However, if it happens, Aamir will reunite with Rajinikanth 30 years after his last screen outing ‘Aatank Hi Aatank’, which also starred Juhi Chawla in the lead role.

‘Coolie’ is produced by Sun Pictures and has music by Anirudh Ravichander. The final release date of the film is yet to be revealed. However, it is set to hit the screens in the second half of next year. The shooting of the film began in July this year.
