Congress MLA Ravi Ganeiga slammed actor Rashmika Mandanna, who refused to attend the Bangalore International Film Festival. The MLA from the Mandya constituency of Karnataka asked if he should not be taught a lesson to disregard the industry where he started his career.
Rashmika made her cinema debut with the 2016 Kannada film, Kirik Party with Rachti Shetty.
“Rashmika Mandanna, who started her career with the Kannada film Kirik Party in Karnataka, refused to attend the last year (Bengaluru) International Film Festival, when we invited her,” Ganiga told Mediarskarson at the Vidha Sauda on Monday.
According to Ganiga, the actor ignored and insulted Karnataka and Kannada language despite his debut in the Kannada film industry. According to him, Rashmika Mandanna was invited several times to the event, but he refused, saying that there was no time to visit Karnataka.
“He said, ‘I have my house in Hyderabad, I do not know where Karnataka is, and I don’t have time. I don’t come.’ One of our MLA friends visited his home 10-12 times to invite him, but despite being in the industry here, he disregarded Kannada and even disregarded Kannada.
Ganiga believed that the results of the rush should be results.
On Saturday, Karnataka sub -DK Shivkumar lasted Kannada film actors to be absent from the inauguration of the 16th edition of the Bangalore International Film Festival.
“If actor, producer and director do not share this feeling, what does an international film festival mean? Consider a warning or request for the film Chamber and Academy. The Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka had said that cinema is not just for some – the support of the government is important.
