Confirmed the date of homecoming of Sunita Williams, NASA says she will land …

NASA said that a pair of American astronauts stuck for more than nine months at the international space station would return to Earth on Tuesday evening.

Buch Wilmore and Sunita Williams are to be taken home with another American astronaut and a Russian cosmonott with a SpaceX Crew Dragon Craft, which came to the ISS in the early hours of Sunday.

The pair stranded since June after the Boeing Starlineer spacecraft are on the ISS, when they were testing the first crew, they faced propulsion issues and were considered disqualified to fly back to Earth.

NASA said in a statement on Sunday evening that it had extended the splashadown of the anticipated ocean of astronauts from the Florida coast for around 5:57 pm on Tuesday. It was initially slate soon compared to Wednesday.

The space agency said, “The updated return target space station allows the crew members to complete the handover duties, providing operational flexibility before the low -favorable weather conditions for the subsequent weeks.”

NASA astronauts Nick Hague and Rososmos cosmonot Alexandra Gorbunov will also return to the Dragon Capsule, with the journey, the preparation of the hatch closure will begin when the journey of live broadcast starts from Monday evening.

For Wilmore and Williams, it will mark the end of an ordinance that has seen them stuck for nine months, which was for a one -day roundtrip.

His long stay was much longer than the standard ISS rotation for astronauts of about six months.

But it is much lower compared to the 371 -day American space records set by NASA astronaut Frank Rubio in 2023, or the world records conducted by the Russian Cosmonot Valerie Polycov, who spent 437 consecutive days on the MIR Space Station.

Nevertheless, his unpredictable nature of his long -term families – he had to get additional clothes and personal care items because he did not pack enough – has gained interest and sympathy.
