Santhosh Narayanan criticised the ‘Andhagan’ team for making changes to the lyrics and music.

Composer Santhosh Narayanan lashed out at the makers of ‘Andhagan’ and the audio label ‘Sony Music South’ for making changes to the music and arrangement he had initially given. He said that he doesn’t want to take a single penny for the ‘Andhagan Anthem’ as the music doesn’t belong to him. Almost a day after the song’s release, Santhosh Narayanan wrote on X with a Vadivelu meme. He wrote, “For the first time in history, audio label is casting a blind character as well – Method Acting? For your information I don’t charge anything for checking if the actual music/lyrics/arrangement/mix/master is actually the mind or not. Best of luck (sic),”

He also provided clarification in another post, writing, “This is not the music, lyrics, arrangement, mix and master that I submitted….”

The poster of Sony Music South features Santhosh Narayanan as the music composer. The promotional song was unveiled at an event in Chennai. However, Santhosh Narayanan did not attend the event.

Written and directed by Thiagarajan, ‘Andhagan’ is a crime thriller starring Prashanth, Simran, Priya Anand, Karthik, Samuthirakani, Urvashi, Yogi Babu, KS Ravikumar, Vanitha Vijayakumar and Manobala in the lead roles.

‘Andhaagan’ has been shelved for many years due to financial problems. It will finally release in theatres on August 15, clashing with Chiyaan Vikram and director Pa Ranjith’s ‘Thangalan’.
