Television and film actor Rakesh Pujri, who was also crowned the winner of ‘Comedy Khiladigalu Season 3’, died due to a heart attack. Pujari was 33 years old.

The incident occurred during a mehndi ceremony near Nite in Karkala in Udupi district. He allegedly fell late last night. A case of unnatural death has been registered at Karkala Town Police Station. He also shared a picture from the ceremony on his Instagram story, which is now going viral.

Rakesh began his journey in performance arts with the Chaitanya Kalavidru Theater Group. She first attracted attention in 2014 through the Tulu reality show ‘Kadle Bajil’, which aired on a private channel. Although he faced several obstacles, including around 150 auditions, he remained firm and eventually made a place for himself in the entertainment industry.

Rakesh became a domestic name in Karnataka after winning the ‘Comedy Khundigalu’ season 3 in 2020. His specific style and strong relationship with the audience helped him increase fame. He was also part of the runner-up team in season 2 of the show in 2018.

Along with reality TV, Rakesh also made his mark in both Kannada and Tulu films. His Kannada Credit includes ‘Palwan’ and ‘Idu Enha Lokavayya’, while in Tulu Cinema, he appeared in famous films like ‘Petakammi’, ‘Emera Police’, ‘Pamana the Great’, ‘Umil’ and ‘Ilokkel’. He depicted several coastal Karnataka-based reality shows, such as ‘Bell Telpel’, ‘May 22’, ‘Star’, and ‘Tuyinayi Poe’, while being active in theater.
