Coldplay concert: India tickets sold out, fans head to Abu Dhabi
Tickets for Coldplay’s January 2025 concerts in India have been sold out, leading to many Indian fans looking for tickets to the shows in Abu Dhabi. Easy visas and similar pricing make Abu Dhabi a popular choice.
British rock band Coldplay will perform in India in January 2025. Initially, a two-day tour in Mumbai was later extended to a three-day tour due to huge demand. The concert will be held on January 18, 19 and 21 at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai.

While a section of fans are expressing their eagerness to secure tickets, another section is considering options to see their favorite band perform outside India. Why did Abu Dhabi become a hotspot for Coldplay tickets?
Apart from its proximity to India, the ticket prices are also similar to India. For example, a standard ticket for a concert costs around 195 AED, which is around Rs 4,500. The price range goes from this to a maximum of AED 1,495, which is around Rs 35,000.
Visa requirements for Abu Dhabi are very easy to meet, which is another major reason for fans to make the move. Many people on the internet have also shared an estimated budget of a minimum of Rs 1.7 lakh for two people for a 5-7 day stay in the Middle East, if they choose to attend the concert there. With everyone’s attention turning to Abu Dhabi, demand grew so much that Coldplay even announced additional concert dates in the region. Abu Dhabi now has four concert dates compared to three in India. Coldplay will perform in Abu Dhabi on January 9, 11, 12 and 14, 2025.
Given that Abu Dhabi is the only place in the Middle East where Coldplay is hosting their tour, it has naturally become a hotspot. However, very disappointingly, fans faced similar problems standing in queues at Ticketmaster for Coldplay tickets in Abu Dhabi. After Abu Dhabi and India, the next Coldplay concert will take place in Hong Kong, followed by Seoul, South Korea. Due to overwhelming demand, more dates were announced in Seoul. Keeping this in mind, fans are waiting for other dates to be announced in India as well.
More dates in India?
While the demand for the Coldplay concert refuses to subside, rumors are spreading that the Ahmedabad concert at NAMO Stadium is likely to be announced. However, there has been no movement on this front yet.
In the meantime, fans can keep an eye out for Infinity tickets for the India concert, which will go live on November 22.
