- Grind the spices: Grind the ginger, gum, black pepper, cinnamon, fennel seeds, cloves and cardamom pods to a fine paste using a mortar and pestle.
- Boil Water: Boil water in a pot.
- Add the spices: Add the ground spice mix and dried rose petals to boiling water.
- Add the tea leaves: Add the black tea leaves and bring the mixture to a boil.
