Grammy Award winner Coco Jones and NBA star Donovan Mitchell are officially a couple, as they were recently engaged. The pair, who kept their relationship out of public eyes, shared the news on Instagram on Friday.

In a statement shared with people, a representative of the couple said, “After a wonderful season and a selling tour, Donovan Mitchell and Coco Jones took a moment to recharge on leave, which turned into a beautiful engagement.” The announcement revealed that the two have been dating for two years and are ready for their future together.

A dream proposal

Mitchell posted a romantic video of the proposal, which took place at a picturesque resort near a body of water surrounded by palm trees. In the clip, the couple walks with a pool, before Mitchell descended and proposed on a knee. Jones, visually emotional, accepts, and two hugs.

The couple also shared an adorable picture of them, which proudly displays their sparkling engagement ring with Jones’s hand on Mitchell’s chest.

Despite his celebrity status, he has kept his relationship private. When asked in previous interviews, Jones told the breakfast club in April, “I am happy, and I got it all to say about it.”

In the presence of February 1 on Club Shay Podcast of Shannon Sharp, Jones admitted online speculation, “I like the Internet very much because he definitely saw my tea.” Nevertheless, she emphasized her wish for privacy, “Some things that I keep for myself ‘because it is my life too.”

ICU singer said that protecting her personal life helps protect her loved ones. “I never want to feel that I want to be someone’s secret,” he said. “I am trying to save myself, my family and whatever I love.”

With this engagement, the couples now officially step into the public’s eye as an officially confirmed pair.
