A hot exchange between Ukrainian President Volodimier Zelansky, US President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance at the Oval Office have given rise to widespread reactions from world leaders and American MPs. The stressful meeting, which was made small cut, expressed concern about the future of US-Ukraine relations.
United States
American MPs are in a hurry to criticize the handling of the meeting, the Senate Democrats accused Trump and in favor of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Nebraska’s Republican representative Don Beckon also criticized the meeting, called it “a bad day for the US foreign policy”. Democratic MPs also said with a representative of a house against Trump, “This was a great day for Vladimir Putin. President Trump and VP Vance are the best Lackie he had.”

Russia
On the other hand, Russian authorities have made fun of Zelansky, a spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry commented that it was a “miracle of restraint” that Trump and Vance did not resort to physical aggression.
Former Russian President Dimitri Medvedev appreciated Zelansky on social media for receiving “a proper slap in the oval office”. He also referred to him as a “cocaine clown”. One of the Moscow dialogues, Kiril Dimitriv branded the spat between Trump and Zelanski as “historic”.

Ukraine
In contrast, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrey Sibiha praised Zelanceci’s “power to stand for bravery and power”. Zelansky “stands for Ukraine and aims to a justified and permanent peace,” Sibiha said on X.

Many European leaders have also expressed their support for Ukraine.
France
French President Emmanuel Macron said Russia is aggressive and Ukrainian is aggressive people. “We … should respect those who have been fighting from the beginning,” he told reporters during his visit to Portugal.
“I think we were all right to help Ukraine three years ago and to continue to approve Russia and continue to do so. We are the United States, European, Canadian, Japanese and many more,” he said.
Spain
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez expressed solidarity with Ukraine, posting a message in Spanish, English and Ukrainian: “Ucrania, Espana Esta Cotigo. Ukraine, Spain stands with you. With you. With you.

Germany
German Chancellor Olaf Sholaz assured that “no one wants more peace than Ukraine citizens! That is why we are working together to find a permanent and just a way for peace. Ukraine Germany – and can rely on Europe.”

The next Chancellor of Germany, Frederick Merz, also assured Zelancesi to his support, stating that “we should never confuse aggressive and victim in this terrible war.”
Italy
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni called for a summit between the United States, Europe and his colleagues to discuss the Ukraine War.
He said, “A summit is needed without delay … to clearly talk about how we intend to deal with today’s main challenges, start from Ukraine, which we have defended together in recent years,” he said.
Britain
The British Prime Minister Kir Stmper echoed his support for Ukraine, saying that he is doing all that he could find a way for a permanent peace on the basis of sovereignty and security for Ukraine, a Downing Street spokesman said he had spoken to the two leaders after the White House meeting.
Hungary
In contrast, Hungary Prime Minister Victor Orban thanked Trump “for bravery to stand out for peace,” saying “strong men make peace, weak men fight.”

Other European Leader
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusks, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahar Store, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Christson, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausoda, Irish Foreign Minister Simon Harris, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala, and Latvian Prime Minister Evika Silia have also supported Eucharin.
European Union
The European Union has also expressed its support for Ukraine, European Commission Chairman Ursula von Der Leyen and European Council Chairman Antonio Costa assured Zelancesi that he is “never alone.”
“Be strong, be brave, be fearless. We will continue to work with you for a equitable and permanent peace”, both wrote in a joint statement on social media.
