The CMF Phone 1 is expected to be priced under Rs 20,000, as we also reported to India Today. According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the box price of the device is Rs 19,999.
Nothing is going to launch its first smartphone under the CMF brand soon. While the launch date is still a mystery, the company has started posting cryptic teasers that confirm that a new CMF phone is coming but don’t reveal much about it. Ahead of the launch, tipster Yogesh Brar has leaked the India price of the CMF Phone 1 online. The company has also shared a short video, showing parts of the back panel. Here’s everything you need to know.
The CMF Phone 1 is expected to be priced under Rs 20,000, something we speculated on India Today as well. According to the tipster, the box price of the device is Rs 19,999. This will likely be a budget offering from the brand as it has always promoted its CMF series as an affordable option for users who want to try out Nothing products. The original Nothing phone was priced at over Rs 40,000 when it was launched, though the price dropped to around Rs 30,000 a few months after its release. It recently introduced a new series with the Phone 2a, which is aimed at the Rs 25,000 segment. So, the CMF phone could be priced under Rs 20,000. But, nothing has been confirmed yet.
The short video posted by Nothing doesn’t reveal much apart from the fact that the CMF Phone 1 will have a plain back panel with a moving wheel at the bottom. The functionality of this feature is currently unknown. So far, teasers have suggested that the company may offer a removable back panel, but nothing has been confirmed yet. We will get to know more about this in the coming days when Nothing will show the complete design from all angles.
Apart from this, the short video clip also suggested that there could be more CMF products in the pipeline. It showed 3 different wheel designs, and one of them has a wheel look similar to the CMF Buds. This can be seen in the second wheel image shown in the video. The first image is likely to be of a CMF phone as it also has a SIM ejector. The third image could be a watch, but nothing has been officially confirmed.
The handset is said to feature a 6.7-inch OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display is rumoured to have uniform and thick bezels. It is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, which will also be used in the Oppo Reno 12 Pro, if the leaks are to be believed. Under the hood, we could see a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W wired charging.
