The first CMF phone is coming and it is no longer a secret. The device is all set to launch on July 8. Ahead of the official unveiling, the company has been sharing a few teasers that hint at what the device will look like and also claims how different it will be from its competitors in terms of design. The company is also quite confident about the performance of the CMF Phone 1, and claims that it will feature the best processor in its segment. Now, CMF by Nothing has published another short video clip on the X, which hints at the back panel design details. Some features of the device have also leaked online. The teaser does not reveal the entire back panel design of the CMF Phone 1 but hints that the device will have a removable back cover design. There is a screw at the back, which will presumably allow users to remove the back panel. But, its purpose is unknown at the moment. One of the previous teasers revealed that Nothing will bundle a SIM plate ejector as well as a screwdriver with the phone. Although it sounds fun, it will be interesting to see what its purpose will be.

The company is leaving no stone unturned to make you realise that the CMF Phone 1 will feature a unique design. The teaser has also confirmed that the device will feature a wheel at the bottom, but its functionality is currently unknown. Nothing co-founder Akis Evangelidis has claimed that its new CMF Phone 1 will come equipped with the “best processor” in its price segment. While he didn’t name the chipset, tipster Yogesh Brar claims that the CMF phone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset.

Under the hood, we can see a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W wired charging. While these details are yet to be confirmed by the brand, we are sure that the company will not bundle a charger with the smartphone.

The leaked image by Gadget Bits shows that the CMF phone will have a plain back panel with no semi-transparent design or texture. There may also be a CMF logo at the back and a dual camera setup, positioned vertically. There may be a small wheel at the bottom, the existence of which is unknown right now. The device may come with a removable back panel, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

Tipster Technerd_9 claims to have obtained the key specifications of the CMF Phone (1) on X (formerly Twitter), which reveals that the device will come with a polycarbonate back panel. It will also have a vegan leather finish, something that the official teaser also revealed.

The CMF phone will likely be priced under Rs 20,000 as the company is selling its Nothing Phone 2A in India for Rs 24,000. It will be interesting to see how Nothing will convince users to buy its mid-range phone over other solid devices.
